Thanks for the love and support on my #photography post yesterday. It means so much.

If I’m going to shoot creatively and professionally, I need a way to edit my photos. My go to software for post processing has always been #adobe #lightroom. My current laptop is a few years old and does not have the power to run a resource heavy program like Lightroom.

So I upgraded my RAM so post processing runs smoothly. I went from 16GB that was factory installed to 32GB. Upgrading memory was a very easy process. If you’re on the fence about buying a more powerful computer to handle what you’re pursuing, I invite you to do some research first to see if some basic upgrades can breath some new life and longevity into your current set up.

This memory cost me $80. For a couple weeks, I entertained purchasing a MacBook Air to run Lightroom. That would have cost me north of $1500. When you’re starting out like I am, don’t drop money on expensive equipment right away. That will come later.

Try to make do with what you have and upgrade when the time is right.

I’ll share a link soon that helped me discover that my laptop could be upgraded with more RAM.
